State Representative Gary Moore To Retire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - State Representative Gary Moore announced Thursday he will retire from the Tennessee House of Representatives.

Moore has represented District 50 for the past eight years.

Moore was recently elected President of the Tennessee AFL-CIO Labor Council. He spent his years in the House fighting for working families and formerly served as Democratic Caucus Treasurer. He serves on the House Consumer and Employee Affairs and Judiciary Committees.

He served as a Nashville Firefighter for 30 years, and held the position of Captain for 11 years

Moore lives in Joelton with his wife, and has two children and four grandchildren.

He becomes the 11th Democrat to announce they won't return next year.
