Pat Summitt Named Tennessean Of The Year

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Legendary coach Pat Summitt has been named Tennessean of the Year, by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.

Summitt will be honored at a special Hall of Fame Induction Banquet coming up next month in Nashville on May 19th. The coach just wrapped up her 38th year with the Lady Vols.

She was diagnosed with dementia last year and hasn't said whether or not she'll be back on the sidelines next season.

This is the second time Pat Summitt has been named Tennessean of the Year. The first was back in 1988. Summitt is the first person to ever receive the award twice.
