SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - The Easter holiday will have a special lesson of forgiveness for members of a Robertson County Church.
Earlier this week, burglars targeted the Red River Assembly of God. They broke out a window, and stole just about anything of value they could get their hands on. Everything they took was worth a total of about $10,000.
The church's safe, sound equipment, and instruments were all taken, but Pastor Wayne Ralph said in spite of the shock, his congregation plans to move forward with Easter Services.
They also hope the normal Sunday crowd grows to about 200.
"It will be somewhat different because of what happened. But, here again: forgiveness, grace, and mercy. We all need it. And to those who perpetrated this, I would say, ‘We forgive you,'" said Pastor Wayne Ralph.
Anyone with any information about the break-in is asked to call police.
