Man Charged With Deadly Stabbing Of Ex-Girlfriend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been charged with criminal homicide in the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend in north Nashville.

Police said 38-year-old Daryle Thomas armed himself with a knife before going to Dematrice Lee's home on on Rainwood Drive, off Brick Church Pike.

He then allegedly waited for her to get home, and stabbed her multiple times.

An affidavit stated that when officers arrived, Thomas had with blood on his hands and clothes.

Lee was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.

Police said Thomas surrendered on the scene. During a police interview, he allegedly admitted he stabbed Lee with a knife.

Police said Thomas was upset over the couple's breakup a few weeks ago.

Thomas was held on $500,000 bond.
