Home Destroyed, Two Others Damaged By Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A home was destroyed and two neighboring homes were damaged in an early morning fire in east Nashville.

When fire crews got on the scene around 3:30 a.m. Monday, flames were coming from the roof of the home on Lillian Street.

Fire crews first wanted to make sure everyone was out of the home safely. But their second priority was to make sure the fire did not spread to neighboring homes. They wetted the neighboring homes down, but with 20 mile per hour winds they suffered some damage from the flames.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, but investigators said it was likely accidental.
