GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. - Two drivers have been charged after a fatal crash last month that officials said was caused by road rage.
The crash happened on March 23 on Springfield Highway and Williamson Road in Goodlettsville.
Officials said two pickup trucks were driving aggressively in the southbound lanes of Springfield Highway. At some point the trucks made contact, sending one truck into the oncoming traffic of the northbound lanes.
The truck then hit an SUV and a car.
A 41-year-old female passenger in one of the trucks was killed. Her 45-year-old husband was critically injured and transported to an area hospital.
Goodlettsville Police said that two of the drivers, 45-year-old Charles Myres and 32-year-old Justin Bennett, were charged after the investigation of the crash. Both men were charged with one count of vehicular homicide and two counts of aggravated assault.
A court date for the two men was not set.
