The three apparently were the only ones aboard. Police said the three people injured were identified as 58-year-old Jay Perdue, his father 81-year-ol Joe Perdue, and 58-year-old Andrea Holinstein. Sheriff Darrell Allison said the three appeared to have non-critical injuries.

Officials said that the pilot, Jay Perdue, developed problems just before landing that caused him to lose control of the aircraft.  He was trying to land but pulled up and then crashed.

The crash knocked the engine out of the plane and damaged its tail.
