NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police arrested a convicted robber for his involvement in Saturday night's robbery of a Dollar General Store in east Nashville.
Adrian Talley, 42, was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of unlawful weapon possession by a convicted felon.
Police said he was armed with a pistol when he went into the store on West Trinity Lane just before 9 p.m. Two others were with him, and they took cash from the business and one of the customers.
As officers arrived, they witnessed Talley and his two accomplices fleeing through a side door and into nearby woods.
Officers tracked them, and found Talley hiding in a thick brush on Monticello Drive.
Police said he had a pistol in his right hand and dropped it when ordered to do so by an officer.
Police said Talley confessed during an interview. Talley was convicted of aggravated robbery and assault with intent to murder in 1989, and aggravated robbery in 1997.
His bond was set at $12,500.
Police were working to identify his accomplices.
