Man Faces DUI Charges after Hitting Police Car

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Medics rushed a Clarksville police officer to the hospital after he was hit by an alleged drunk driver.

Officer Tom Johnson was stopped at a red light on Fort Campbell Boulevard when the driver of an SUV, 47-year-old Stanley Mickens, slammed into the back of his patrol car Sunday morning.

Fortunately the officer wasn't seriously hurt. Investigators say a breath test revealed Mickens was intoxicated, and his test revealed he was almost three times the legal limit. Mickens is now facing DUI charges.
