NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Nashville Fire officials are investigating two cases of arson in the local area this week.
Officials said that while both fires did not appear to be related, they were intentionally set. The first fire occurred at a vacant home at 1305 Pillow Street, last Friday April 20th.
Investigators consider the second arson to be far more serious. It occurred at a home on Jones Avenue in East Nashville on Wednesday morning. Fire officials said that several adults and children were at home asleep when the fire was intentionally set outside their home. An adult woke to the smell of smoke and was able to call for help. One firefighter was injured in the fire.
Officials have asked that anyone with information about either of these fires call Crime Stoppers at 74-Crime.
