NASHVILLE, Tenn. – There will be several road closures ahead of the 13th annual Country Music Marathon on Saturday morning.

The 26.2-mile marathon route will shut down to vehicle traffic by 6:30 a.m.

It starts at 7 a.m. at Centennial Park and runners will go east on West End. West End and Broadway are expected to reopen to traffic by 9:30 a.m.

More than 400 officers, school crossing guards, and volunteers will help direct traffic away from the marathon route, which ends at LP Field.

Traffic will be stopped until all runners have passed, except emergency vehicles and anything that doesn't interfere with the race.

Nashville MTA buses will also be on detours due to the marathon route.

More than 30,000 runners and walkers will take part in the marathon, as well as tens of thousands of spectators, family and friends.
