RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn.- A Rutherford County teacher has been suspended without pay pending an investigation into possible inappropriate conduct with students.
Officials with Rutherford County Schools said that Richard Kimberly, a criminal justice teacher and assistant boys soccer coach at Blackman High School, was suspended on Thursday. Kimberly was accused of inappropriate horseplay with students on a bus going to an away soccer game.
Police were investigating the incident and Kimberly was suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
Kimberly has worked for the Rutherford County School system since August 2006.
