HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Hopkinsville's mayor is looking to prohibit smoking in public places.
Dan Kemp said Hopkinsville is the largest city in Kentucky that hasn't passed such a ban, and he wants that to change.
Kemp will present an ordinance to the city council next month that would ban smoking at indoor places including restaurants.
If council members approve it, a ban could go into effect as early as July.
