CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – Authorities in Christian County said a thief stole thousands of dollars' worth of military gear and clothing.
It happened at a home on Locust Street. Initially sheriff's deputies thought it was a standard burglary, but soon learned that more than 250 items of military style clothing were taken from a closet. They included multiple pieces of body armor, magazine pouches for ammunition, duffel bags, goggles and military jackets and uniforms.
Fortunately, no weapons were taken.
There was no sign of forced entry, so police believe the thief knew exactly what he was after.
The estimated value of the items taken is more than $6,000.
