Family Seeks Answers To Soldier’s Murder

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Detectives are calling it a cowardly crime: two men shot a Ft. Campbell soldier after he gave them a ride.

Police found 22-year-old Taylor Hotzoglou dead inside his car along Victory Road in Clarksville Sunday morning. Hotzoglou had been shot several times, but police found no sign of robbery or drugs.

Hotzoglou's family has traveled from their home in New York to Clarksville, pleading for help in this murder.

"We are asking you guys for help, my family his brothers, his brothers in combat, and all of his friends here are, I know it would mean the world to so many people if someone could just make this happen," said Greg Hotzoglou, Taylor's brother.

Greg and his family have been searching for a clue in a case they said just doesn't make sense. Hotzoglou recently returned from Afghanistan and his wife can't believe he was killed by the people he was serving while overseas.

"He spent 12 months dodging bullets and to come home and get killed over something aimless it's just not fair," said Kerri Hotzoglou.

Investigators said they do have two people of interest that they are trying to get in touch with, but they are also asking for the community's help. If anyone knows information about this soldier's murder, they are asked to call Clarksville Police at (931) 648-0656
