MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- After a day of jury deliberations, the verdict came in for a Murfreesboro father accused of trying to kill a one-year-old outside a local hospital.
A jury in Murfreesboro found Glen Climer, Jr. guilty of attempted voluntary manslaughter, child abuse and assault. Police said Climer tried to break a one-year-old's neck outside the Middle Tennessee Medical Center back in November.
Officers testified there were numerous drugs in Climer's system at the time.
Climer's ex-girlfriend and mother of the child also took the stand. Tiffany Carpenter told the jury the two were arguing over who was the father of the baby the night of the incident.
