A soldier from Franklin who died last week from injuries he received in an attack in Afghanistan will be laid to rest Saturday.
The Governor ordered flags to be flown at half staff Friday across the state in honor of Specialist Jason Edens.
His funeral is set for noon at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home on Columbia Avenue in Franklin.
The funeral procession is expected to leave there around 1:15 p.m.
If you'd like to line the street, in his honor, the route from the funeral home will head north on Columbia Avenue, through the Five Points Intersection, up Hillsboro Road and past Franklin High School. They will turn left onto Sneed Road and then head to Highway 100 and end at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Specialist Edens graduated from Franklin High School in 2007 and was a member of the Franklin High School Marching Band.
