MONTEREY, Tenn.- A high
school in Monterey will close its doors next year after a highly flammable
building material was discovered.
Friday night, the Putnam
County School Board decided to go forward with vacating the building, starting
next school year.
It was recently discovered
that the 50-year-old building's ceiling and roof are made of highly combustible
material. The material is so flammable, it was banned years ago.
