NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Although the city is hours from the nearest ocean, Nashville is celebrating Navy Week this week.

To help kick off the festivities, a group of sailors from right here in the mid-state spent the morning volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank. Among their duties there: sorting and organizing hundreds of cans and boxes of food.

Servicemen and women will spend the rest of the week partnering up with Habitat for Humanity and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
