Soldier From Clarksville Killed In Afghanistan

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- A soldier from Tennessee has been killed in the War in Afghanistan.

Sergeant Jacob Schwallie was just 22 years old and from Montgomery County. He was a graduate of Rossview High School in Clarksville.

Sergeant Schwallie was based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

Officials said that Schwallie, 24-year-old Spc. Chase S. Marta and 19-year-old Pfc. Dustin D. Gross were killed when enemy forces attacked their unit with a roadside bomb in Ghazni province, Afghanistan.

Marta was from California. Private First Class Dustin Gross was from of Jeffersonville, Kentucky.
