Bicyclist Hit By Car In Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A bicyclist was injured after being hit by a car near downtown Nashville.

The incident happened on South 6th Street near Main Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police said the biker pulled out in front of a car when he was hit.

The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, and released with minor injuries.

Police said they do not believe the driver of the car was impaired when the crash happened. They believe it was simply an accident.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
