2-Year-Old Boy Starves To Death In Roane County

KINGSTON, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Roane County said a 2-year-old boy starved to death, weighing only 12 pounds when he died.

According to The Knoxville News Sentinel, Clifford Dotson of near Kingston was fed only once a day. No one has been arrested.

Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton said it was the worst thing he'd seen in 30 years of law enforcement.

The boy's 6-year-old brother was removed from the family home and placed in protective custody with the state.

The case is likely to be presented to a county grand jury June 18.
