KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - State officials said southbound lanes on heavily traveled Interstate 75 in Campbell County will remain closed for repair work until May 21.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said in a news release Thursday that crews will continue to stabilize a section of rock slope where an embankment collapsed March 8. Work began May 7.
Northbound lanes also will be affected with just one lane of traffic open for some three miles.
Motorists have been told to expect long delays. Detours will be posted.
The interstate flows north into Kentucky and south into Georgia.
