KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The Tennessee Lady Vols softball team is on a roll, winning their 19th game in a row and heading to the SEC semifinals.
The number five Lady Vols extended their winning streak after defeating Auburn 2-1 in the SEC Tournament in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Thursday
Pitcher Ellen Renfroe allowed one run on three hits in seven innings pitched. Lady Vols Infielder Lauren Gibson drove in a run on an RBI single in the third-inning. Senior Outfielder Holly Baker hit her first home run of the season in the sixth-inning to extend the lead to 2-0.
Auburn mounted a comeback in the seventh-inning when Lady Tigers Designated Player, Hilary Mavromat hit a home run with two outs, but the rally ended there as Infielder Caitlin Schultze grounded out to third to end the game.
The Lady Vols will play in the SEC Semifinals on Friday.
