NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police have two men in custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Antioch.
The shooting occurred at a home on Karen Ray Court around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Terrance B. Nelson was shot in the chest and killed in what police called drug-related murder.
Wallace R. Mathis, 18, turned himself in at police headquarters Friday morning. On Thursday afternoon, officers arrested 20-year-old Marcelious D. Russ in connection with the shooting and charged him with criminal homicide.
Officials said that Russ and Mathis went to the home to purchase cocaine from Nelson. Some type of argument took place, during which Nelson was fatally shot. Russ and Mathis then fled the scene on foot.
Russ and Mathis were jailed in lieu of $500,000 bond each.
