NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police busted a drug pipeline after stopping couriers transporting more than 100 pounds of marijuana.

Metro drug agents, acting on a tip, set up surveillance at the Alabama border and spotted the vehicle they were looking for.

Police followed for several miles before stopping the couriers on I-65 at Harding Place just before they could get to a drop off point in town.

A search of the vehicle discovered 117 pounds of marijuana.

The driver, Scotty Lee Jones, was arrested on felony drug charges. Two other people in another car trailing behind were also taken into custody. Jones was on bail in other counties for drug offenses.

Jones was held on $75,000 bond.
