JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Governor Bill Haslam has made it illegal to make or sell synthetic drugs in Tennessee.
He signed the measure into law at a ceremony at a high school in the Tri-Cities area on Monday.
The law makes it a felony to have or distribute these types of drugs, also known as "bath salts".
Haslam told students that he hopes the legislation will make a difference for people whose lives have been ruined by the drugs.
