SMYRNA, Tenn. - A Smyrna police officer has been fired after allegations of inappropriate behavior with a minor.

Officer Henry Jenkins was originally placed on administrative leave with pay last week after police department officials found out about the allegations.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was asked to investigate the incident. Jenkins was fired after TBI agents determined he had engaged in an improper relationship with a 17-year old girl.

The investigation into the incident is still on-going. It was unclear if charges would be filed.
