ELIZABETHTOWN, KY. (AP) - Kentucky State Police are searching for two men missing from the Hardin County Detention Center.

Hardin County Jailer Danny Allen told The News-Enterprise that a deputy jailer noticed that 21-year-old Brandon Board and 37-year-old Vance Tate were not on their assigned breakfast detail at about 3:15 a.m. EDT Friday and not seen during a head count of inmates.

State Police said they were able to escape through a hole in the perimeter fence.

Allen said Tate had been in a disciplinary pod in the same restricted custody section of the jail.

Allen said both men were wearing civilian clothing and had been jailed after parole violations.

Board, who had been in the jail since September, was convicted of third-degree burglary, third-degree assault and evading police, Allen said.

Tate was convicted of multiple drug-related misdemeanor charges. He had been in jail for 14 months.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two men are encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the nearest KSP Post.
