PERRY COUNTY, Tenn. - The body of a missing teenager was found in the Tennessee River Sunday morning, close to the area where he went underwater.
Multiple rescue agencies were looking for the body of 16-year-old Logan Brittain. The teen was from Decatur County.
Brittain was with a group of friends at Ramey's Landing in Linden when police said he went into the water around 2:45 p.m. Saturday. His friends told officials they heard Brittain call for help and then went missing.
Perry County rescue crews searched for him until the early morning hours of Sunday.
His body was discovered around 10:15 a.m. Sunday, and was taken to the Perry County Hospital.
Investigators were awaiting an autopsy by the medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
