Frozen Fish Cause Major Delay on Interstate

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.- A batch of frozen fish are responsible for a delay on Interstate 40 in Cookeville Saturday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a truck carrying 12,000 pounds of frozen salmon overturned at the intersection of Highway 111 causing a big mess.

It took crews nearly five hours to clean up and get traffic moving again. No serious injuries were reported, but the driver of the truck was taken to a nearby hospital.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 96 and Maple Lane. Emergency crews and police are on the scene, and several patients were being taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
