DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) - A West Tennessee sheriff said he is "confident" that an arrest will be made in a slaying investigation that has gone on for months.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box told the State Gazette last week that the investigation into the slaying of Karen Swift is still "active and ongoing."

The remains of the 44-year-old mother of four were found on December 10 near a cemetery after having last been seen on October 30.

Box has said there were injuries to Swift's body, which led police to investigate her death as a slaying, though they have not yet released a cause of death or details of an autopsy.
