NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police are searching for the man who robbed a Donelson hotel at knifepoint overnight.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the La Quinta Inn and Suites on Atrium Way.
The man came into the lobby, pulled out a knife, and demanded cash from the female clerk.
He fled the scene toward Elm Hill Pike with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said the clerk described the man as a clean-cut black male between 25 and 30 years old. He was approximately 5'6" or 5'7", weighing about 165 pounds.
He was wearing a blue polo shirt and blue jeans.
The manager of the hotel allowed the clerk to leave early.
Employees at nearby hotels had seen the man before the crime. Police were reviewing surveillance from the hotel.
