Man Attacked By Intruder Inside Putnam County Home

PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. – A man was attacked after finding an intruder in the home he was remodeling.

The victim went to the home on West Gate Road and walked in to find a stranger in the kitchen area.

When the homeowner threatened to call police, the intruder attacked and wrapped a cord around victim's neck.

They struggled and the victim pulled away.

He then chased the man who ran from the home, and that is when the intruder pulled a knife and slashed the victim across the chest.

He was not seriously injured.

Putnam County deputies are still looking for the intruder.
