THP: Alcohol, Drugs Were Factor In Deadly ATV Crash

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Authorities said alcohol and drugs were a factor in a deadly ATV crash in Wilson County on Wednesday night.

It happened on Round Top Road in the Watertown area.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol said a Dodge Ram pickup truck was driving behind an ATV, when it ran over the ATV.

The driver of the ATV, identified as Edward Good, Jr.  was not wearing a helmet, and died at the scene.

The driver of the car, Nicholas Ricchiazzi was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The report also stated both drivers had been drinking and had used drugs, and tests were requested.

Charges were pending.
