MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Police said witnesses help lead to the arrest of a Mapco robbery suspect.
The armed robbery happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday at the store at 1415 Memorial Boulevard.
Police said customers and employees of nearby businesses were able to give officers detailed descriptions of the robber and the direction he fled the scene in.
During their investigation, they identified the robber as 22-year-old Joe Martin Jackson. He was taken into custody at an apartment without incident.
Police said he was cooperative and provided details about the robbery.
He was charged with one count of robbery, and was scheduled to be in court on July 24.
