Man Charged In April Abduction Of 12-Year-Old Girl

WINCHESTER, Tenn. – A Shelbyville man has been arrested for the April abduction of a 12-year-old girl in Winchester.

Christopher Blunkall, 32, was charged with aggravated kidnapping and solicitation of a minor using electronic means.

Winchester Police said at first the 12-year-old girl claimed two men in a green car kidnapped her, took her into the woods, tied her up and repeatedly raped her. But later, she recanted the story saying she had made the whole story up so she wouldn't get in trouble with her parents.

Police now said the girl was taken to a motel in Lewisburg where she was kept overnight.
