MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. - Parents and students in Maury County want to know why their principal isn't coming back this fall.
Columbia Central High School principal Vince Springer was told at the end of the school year that his contract was not being renewed. So far, school officials have not said why.
State law states principals and non-tenured teacher contracts are one year long, and must be reviewed annually.
Students who don't like the decisions have started a petition which they plan to present to the Maury County Board of Education on Tuesday night.
