MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Dozens of residents honored our country's fallen heroes at The Flags of Remembrance Healing Field in Murfreesboro.
The 1500 flags were flown as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans. The event was hosted by the Murfreesboro Noon Exchange Club.
Some said the field is a nice way to pay tribute to the fallen heroes.
"I think it's pretty awesome, I think it's awesome we remember our veterans, those serving, those who served and have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep this country free," said Terry Hurely a Vietnam Veteran.
The Flags of Remembrance Healing Field held an emotional ceremony Monday night that included patriotic music, prayer, the reading of the names of Tennesseans who have lost their lives in the War on Terror, the playing of Taps and a 21-gun salute.
