MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly threatening to blow up a Social Security Administration office in Murfreesboro.
Federal agents and other local authorities went to the scene with bomb-sniffing dogs to check out the building, located on St. Patrick Court. Nothing was found.
The suspect's son said his father, Brian Bottoms, threatened to "cause some destruction" after failing to get money.
Bottoms was found to have active warrant out of Dickson County for a failure to appear in court and was arrested on site in Murfreesboro. According to the police report, Bottoms was listed on the domestic terrorist watch list.
