Movies In The Park Kicks Off Wednesday At Percy Warner

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After 16 years, the annual Movies in the Park will move from Centennial Park to Percy Warner Park on Wednesday night.

The free movie event will begin with "The Help", playing at sunset at the Park's Cross Country Field on Highway 100.

Things begin at 4 p.m. with refreshments from Moe's, Ben and Jerry's and the Grilled Cheeserie.

The event will run each Wednesday in June.

Last year, shots were fired during one of the events at Centennial Park after a group of accused, teenage gang members got into a fight.

The incident led to questions about safety and changes from park personnel. There was no official word from Metro Parks if that is why the event was moved to Percy Warner.
