CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police are asking for help to identify a man who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted a teen in Clarksville.
The 19-year-old victim told police she was walking to a friend's house around 3 a.m. on May 28 when a man stopped and offered to give her a ride. She got into the vehicle, but told police that he took her to a field in the Garrettsburg and Evans Road area. He then allegedly hit her in the face, and sexually assaulted her before she was able to get away.
The vehicle was described as an older model, blue truck with rust around the wheel wells, possibly a full size, two-door Chevrolet. The truck was a standard shift truck with a bench seat that had cracks in it. There were deer antlers inside the cab, which was very cluttered. The bed of the truck had 10 gallon buckets, tarps and tools.
Police said the woman described her captor as a white male with dark brown or black, curly/wavy hair. He had a scruffy beard, discolored teeth, large belly, and wore a dirty brown hat.
His name could be "Gilbert" and he could possibly be involved with caring for horses, according to police.
