Earlier, fans attended the first day of free concerts at two stages in downtown Nashville during the day Thursday.

Julie Roberts played to fans from the Bud Light Stage on Bridgestone Plaza. Lee Brice was another artist who played on the Riverfront Stage.

The crowd was excited to see some of their favorite stars.

"It was a great opportunity for us to come and see where it all came from, you know, because we don't get stuff like this where we come from," said Luke Hunter, from Ontario, Canada.

CMA announced Thursday afternoon that they had sold out all tickets for the nightly concerts, for the third consecutive year.
