Pedestrian Struck By Motorcycle On Woodland Street Bridge

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a motorcycle following the CMA Music Festival.

Police said the CMA shuttle bus had just changed lanes to avoid the pedestrians in the street on the Woodland Street Bridge around 12:40 a.m. Friday. A motorcyclist was trying to pass that bus when he struck the pedestrian.

Both the pedestrian and motorcyclist were taken to the hospital. The pedestrian was listed in critical but stable condition. The motorcyclist only had minor injuries.

Police said, in this case, the motorcyclist had the right of way. Officials said they want both drivers and pedestrians to be careful during this congested time in downtown Nashville.

No identities were released.
