Driver Who Swerved To Avoid Deer Killed In Crash

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A driver lost her life Saturday night after trying to avoid hitting a deer.

Julie Roberts from Clarksville was on Highway 79 in Todd County, Kentucky when police said she swerved to avoid hitting a deer and a dog. She lost control and was thrown from the vehicle.

Her passenger, Amy Jurisin, was hurt but it was unclear how serious her injuries were. Investigators said both women were not wearing a seat belt.
