CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One man was injured in a shooting that was allegedly the result of a fight over a drug deal in Clarksville.

Police were called out to the area of Golf Club Lane around 7 p.m. Sunday, and discovered the victim, 20-year-old Harley Bronaugh, with a gunshot wound to his left side.

An investigation revealed Bronaugh had met with 21-year-old Qwentin Banks to buy Roxicodone pills. During the transaction, they got into an argument where Banks allegedly fired a shot into the vehicle where Bronaugh was sitting. Witnesses said Banks ran away and threw the handgun in a wooded area of Alma Lane.

Bronaugh was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt, where he underwent surgery, and was listed in stable condition.

Banks surrendered himself to police on Monday morning after a warrant for aggravated assault was issued.

He was booked into the Montgomery County jail on $15,000 bond.
