NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police have announced they're looking for a person of interest in the case of a 17-year-old boy killed as he walked into a 'Sweet 16' party over the weekend.

Police said 17-year-old Antwand Covington, Jr. was an innocent bystander who was killed as he exited a car at a Sweet 16th birthday party on Wesleyville Drive in Antioch.

Detectives believe 18-year-old Stephen King has critical knowledge about the shooting. Investigators said they think Covington rode to the party with the intended victim, and was hit as he stepped out of the car.

Covington had just graduated from Hillsboro High School. So far no arrests have been made. A vigil was held for Covington Monday evening.

Anyone with information about Stephen King was asked to call Detective John Crumby at 615-862-6993.
