NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An officer trying to serve a warrant discovered a large marijuana grow operation at a home in Donelson.
Police were looking for 33-year-old Kevin Oxley on an outstanding felony warrant at a home on Woodberry Drive on Monday. He had allegedly tried to go out of a window, but later surrendered to police.
During his arrest, officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana at the home. After obtaining a search warrant, officers discovered 54 marijuana plants inside the home.
Oxley was charged with manufacturing marijuana within a drug-free school zone and violating his probation connected to the eight-year felony cocaine sentence he received in 2008.
Two others inside the home, Shelby Ferguson and Kimba Lewis-Bride, were also arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana within a drug-free school zone.
Oxley was held without bond. Ferguson and Lewis-Bridge were held on $7,500 bond.
The home is less than half a mile from McGavock Elementary School.
