NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Lipscomb University is hosting a meeting to reveal plans for a campus expansion to local neighbors.
The meeting will be held Tuesday to discuss the Institutional Overlay, an issue that residents have met with the university about for years.
People who live nearby say they were promised Lipscomb would never expand west of Belmont Boulevard, despite already owning the Parkwood Terrace Apartments. Neighbors believe the school wants to change those into offices, which they say violated their agreement.
"The only thing we can do is sort of hold their feet to the fire and say this is what you promised in 2000 you need to stay with that promise in the future," said resident Bob Crownover.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Ward Auditorium on Lipscomb's campus
