Michael Seals
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The man accused of stabbing his estranged wife in a state employee parking lot last week has surrendered to police.
Michael Seals called police at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday saying he wanted to surrender. Officers took him into custody in the 1000 block of N. 5th Street.
Arrest warrants charged Seals with attempted murder, aggravated stalking and criminal contempt of court.
Police said he was waiting for his estranged wife, Tina Seals, as she got off the bus in front of the parking lot at 4th Avenue North and Harrison Street the afternoon of June 6. The pair got into an argument, and Michael allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the back.
She was able to get away from him with the help of a Good Samaritan, and Seals fled on foot.
Tina Seals suffered a non-life threatening wound to her back.
Michael Seals was under an order of protection to stay away from his wife at the time of the stabbing.
Seals was held at the Metro jail on $101,000 bond.
